Finished My Purse

Here's the purse I have been working on this past few days~finished up yesterday  :)

The pattern kind of confused me at first, but once I got sewing on it, things made sense.  There's a pocket at each end on the outside.  Looking at it from the front, it is about 9" tall and 9"wide at the base.

  The zipper opening is 15".

There's velcro to hold the two ends in place.

Below is another beautiful digi image from Crafts and Me Stamps.

I lightly used SU! Cool Caribbean and Apricot Appeal ink and the cloud template from SU! for the sky and moon. Iridescent Copper acrylic from Golden, Peeled
Paint distress ink, Fiskars punch~which I cut away the outside to make it more lacey looking. Flowers from my stash and of course, some Silver Stickles. I just printed the words myself.  I used my lovely Copics to colour the image  :)

I was in a hurry, so unfortunately my little snowblower handle got in the photo, but isn't the frost amazing!

This next one is the top of my car  :)  lovely pattern.

Happy Valentines Day everyone, drop in and I'll make you a heart muffin  :)
Hope you all have a LOVEly day!

The book I'm looking at this morning is one of my Christmas gifts, it's fun to read and the recipes are great~~I love to keep it handy when I'm making my grocery list!

My card for the Crafts and Me Challenge this week.  We were to make a card with a new or 'new to us' image.  This beautiful digi image is Autumn.

Tea on Tuesday, I 'Heart' U

Well, once again, it's Tuesday!

I get the weekly newsletter from SplitCoast Stampers and this is what's featured this week.
A really cute word card, for any occasion really, but I'm giving these three to my youngest Grandchildren with their valentines stuff.....because I really 'Heart' them  :)

I'm heading out for my usual Tuesday weigh-in/knitting/gabbing session but before I go I'm having a light breaky of mango and a bit of brie, homemade bread/toast with light laughing cow cheese and the usual coffee to get me moving  :)

Thanks for stopping by, I'll be checking back later to see what everyones up to today.  If you want to see who's doing what today, check out Kims site http://artinredwagons.blogspot.com/

Have a great day everyone  :)

L.O.V.E. Card

The February Challenge is up at Creative Accents Challenge blog!  This is my creation for it :)
I had to take this angle pic otherwise it looked like a circle frame~what's up with that? Anyone know? Maybe I'm taking the photo too close?

It's definitely an oval because.....that's part of the theme....and you can find their blog here
I hope you'll come along and join the challenge.

You can make any paper project using this recipe!  I used stickers for the little girl, flourishes and the small Love oval.  Cardstock is SU and the other paper is stuff from my stash  :)  Lots of little pearls, lace, ribbon and little flowers~all stuff I hoard.
I think I have it covered! Layers, Ovals, Vintage and Embellishments  :)

I also was working on my Heart Journal this past weekend.  This month, you were to use clay or another medium like it and stamp in it.  I wanted to give the wax a try~another first for me, and I kind of like how it turned out.  The page was painted, sprayed, washed~you name it, I wasn't sure it would stand up to all the moisture, but it came out ok!

I did half a butterfly on the blue side and the other says Believe and Friendship~it's part of a background stamp from Stampin Up.  I may not be finished with this page yet, but had to give it a day or so to dry out  :)

Now, it's back to making some Valentines for my Grandchildren  :)

Thanks for stopping be and please leave a comment so I can visit your blog too  :)
