Box Bags, Two More

I've just finished two more of the box bags, as in my previous post.  These are quick, easy and fun to make!  I didn't get too carried away with embellishments, I'm thinking not everyone is going to keep these too long, although I used the first one to carry cards to and from a group night--very handy  :)

A closer picture, I coloured both the dragonfly images with Copics.  That is Creative Memories paper, Stampin Up! cardstock, Prima flowers (not the big one) and leaves, Tim Holtz metal label, forget who's brads--they don't go through the bag--just taped on with the label.
Martha Stewart punch for the lacy bottom, Sizzix Framelits, and SU! punch and rivet thingys for the ribbons.  I'm sorry I don't know who's stamps these are (from Janet maybe), but I believe the first one may be a digi image.

If you would like to see Annettes' blog and check out her tutorial on these cute bags check it out here:  http://nettyscards.blogspot.ca/2012/04/toby-box-in-bag-tutorial.html

Thanks so much for coming to visit, please come back  :)

Spotty Dotty Bag and a Tip Too :)

Here's a cute little bag I made for the Spotty Dotty Challenge over at Top Tip Tuesday blog.  There's a great tutorial for it too.  I changed it slightly by creasing my corners.  Now I have two more bags cut out and I'm going to 'not' crease the corners on the next ones--because they look nice that way---be sure to pop over there and have a look  :)

I used Stampin Up! cardstock, printed paper, one of their Sizzix Framelits labels for the handle tabs and a Stampin Up! stamp for the sentiment.  The handle is some braided string.  Below is a picture of the back.

Her's a close-up of the front using the same Framelit for the sentiment mat. Those are Prima flowers in the corner, some dangly embellies from a lady in Texas--thanks Deb--suits the western theme  :)
The fence is a stamped and cut out image from another friend--thanks Bev   :)

Below is my tip for Top Tip Tuesday.  I'm not sure how many of you have a hard time opening the little door at the top of the Martha Stewart score board, but I sure did!  Anyway, this is my tip to solve the problem:  I taped a small length of ribbon, as shown in the photo below, so now when I want my bone folder--which I almost always leave there  :)--it's so easy to pull the ribbon and pop open the lid!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I've switched to the new blogger thing and I do not like it one bit, so please bear with me while I get used to it and learn the ins and outs.

I enjoy visiting other blogs, so please leave a comment so I can find your blog  :)
