I'm entering this card in the Graphicat Sketch Challenge. This is one of the cute little images that I won in a give-away...Thanks Tanya :)
I've used all SU! paper and sentiments, pencil crayons to colour plus Sakura pens, Stickles, Smooch paint, Happy Birthday embossing folder, and some crinkle ribbon. The off-set paper behind the Dragon has the masking tape technique---cover a piece of cardstock with small bits of masking tape, sponge on ink, coat with clear embossing powder, and heat. The tutorial is on SplitCoast Stampers under Faux Leather Technique.
Here's a view from the side to show there is a bit of dimension :)
And here is the Sketch for you.
Be sure to check out the Challenge blog for lots of great ideas and of course you can go to Cheri's store from there too :)

Need a Lift?
My card for the Crafts and Me Challenge this week.
I've had this image coloured for a while and finally get to use it :) She's a Hannah Lynn digi that you can find over at the Crafts and Me online shop.
I've used X-Press It blender paper with Copics for the image, Stampin Up! cardstock and ink for sponging around the distressed star edges and the sentiments. The printed paper is from Hot Off The Press, I pierced and did faux stitching around it. Stars, diamonds and rose are from my stash. I cut out my own star shape which is about 6 1/2" tip to tip. The inside says 'You can count on me'.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the links above to see the Crafts and Me Challenge blog, the online store or their blog :)

Challenge Card, Paper Roses and More
There is a new challenge over at the Graphicat Sketch's blog. Here is my entry for that, thanks to Barb (I believe)for the stamp and embossing powder. I used distress ink pads and Brushsticks to colour :)
Here is a close-up to show the colour in the faux silk technique that I used. The background piece with the music sheet tissue paper is sprayed with two Glimmer Mists, the gold really puts a shine on it.
And....here is the sketch.
Also, I tried making a couple of roses from the Stampin Up! ornament punch. You punch out about 25 or so, ink them up, curl the edges, and glue them down. There are quite a few youtube videos on making these.
Lots to show you today, here's a watercolour poppy--Stampin Up! stamp and watercolour crayons....
...and my Silly Bird (Stamps Happen)--coloured with Copics--birthday card for a friend...
I have the start of a book here...
Thanks for coming to look :) The family is moved into their new house, so I'm going to try getting this book finished before the end of the month when more family comes to visit :) I love summer!

By The Sea, Craft a Scene Challenge
This challenge, over at Craft a Scene blog was a new one for me to enter, but I just happen to have some Scenescape stamps, so I dragged out a couple and dusted them off :)
I've used glossy cardstock for the main image and SU! cardstock for the rest of the card, a SU! stamp on the right edge, a fiskars punch for the fancy edge, some beachy embellishments, and some twine. I took my SU! and Vivid! ink pads and just swiped them across the glossy card stock to get the sea and sky background.
The sand along the bottom of the driftwood and the stones is sand all the way from Scotland--very special :)
It was hard to get a good view of the Gelly Roll, Clear star, pen I put on the waves without getting a glare off the glossy paper, but you can kind of see it here.
Thanks for stopping by, please check out the Craft a Scene blog :)

The cardstock and ink for sponging is Stampin Up!, dp is Creative Memories, flowers are Prima, and the string is from my kitchen---it is actually over 50 years old and still as strong as ever!
The colouring is done with Copics. The cups and the sentiment on the outside are digis from

Precious Friends.....are like Angels
I Love this digi image from Crafts and Me! So I put it on my card for their Challenge--make something light, with Spring colours, something fluffy, airy :)
Check out the Challenge details on their blog, check my sidebar--I can't seem to make it show up here!

I used my beloved Copics to colour the image and SU! inks--Cool Caribbean and So Saffron for sponging. The flowers are prima, pearls and Top Note die are from SU!, the netting and lace is from my stash :) My Friend Bev gave me the swirls which I sponged with SU! 'Cool Caribbean' ink as well. I used the Grand Labels 23 from Spellbinders for the yellow and a QuicKutz die for my sentiment which I printed on the computer. Inside says '...are like Angels, always there when you need them'
On the close up you'll see that I painted her wings with Smooch paint after I coloured with Copics. The cute little Lamb and the clouds have flocking on them--soft and fluffy :)
Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather like we are getting these past few days--gotta love that sunshine:)
Thanks for stopping by....

Green Challenge
Green as in the colour :) is what they want to see over at Creative Accents Challenge blog. And below is the gorgeous incentive photo!
So I dug into my stash of stamped and started bits that I'm trying to 'Accomplish' something with and found this little fairy that I must have coloured some time ago! I've actually got my stash down to a small drawer :)
The background is a page from a magazine, modge podged, painted with gesso, colour blocked with bits of ripped paper and sponged with Peeled Paint and Forest Moss Distress inks and stamped with Inkadinkado flourishes, then adhered to black cardstock. All the cardstock is SU! Embellishments are from my stash :) This card is 5" x 5 1/2".

Also, I finally finished another mini, pocket book. Perfect for the little dancer in your life :)
The Designer paper, lined black cardstock for the tags and the sticker accents are all Creative Memories.
A peek inside. The 'Love' heart is one that I made from femo, stamped, sponged the edges and added a wee pink gem--all the bling is from my stash. Lots of pretties in this little book!
The back. Lots of pretty ribbon and pink tulle on the Bind-It-All binding and the five tags that fit into the pockets .
Thanks for coming by and please be sure to leave a comment so I can come to your blog and say hello as well--I love to see what everyone is making :)

L.O.V.E. Card
The February Challenge is up at Creative Accents Challenge blog! This is my creation for it :)
I had to take this angle pic otherwise it looked like a circle frame~what's up with that? Anyone know? Maybe I'm taking the photo too close?
It's definitely an oval because.....that's part of the theme....and you can find their blog here
I hope you'll come along and join the challenge.
You can make any paper project using this recipe! I used stickers for the little girl, flourishes and the small Love oval. Cardstock is SU and the other paper is stuff from my stash :) Lots of little pearls, lace, ribbon and little flowers~all stuff I hoard.
I think I have it covered! Layers, Ovals, Vintage and Embellishments :)
I also was working on my Heart Journal this past weekend. This month, you were to use clay or another medium like it and stamp in it. I wanted to give the wax a try~another first for me, and I kind of like how it turned out. The page was painted, sprayed, washed~you name it, I wasn't sure it would stand up to all the moisture, but it came out ok!
I did half a butterfly on the blue side and the other says Believe and Friendship~it's part of a background stamp from Stampin Up. I may not be finished with this page yet, but had to give it a day or so to dry out :)
Now, it's back to making some Valentines for my Grandchildren :)
Thanks for stopping be and please leave a comment so I can visit your blog too :)

Pink and Sparkly
That's the theme at Crafts and Me Challenges. And this is my card with a Sara Burrier digi image called Twilight Lily Fae. I love the gentle image she presents and pink seems a perfect colour for her :)
I've used Copics to colour her and Distress ink around the edges. The cardstock is SU, the printed paper is Washi paper and I used my SU punch on the edges. For some sparklies, I've used Stickles on her wings, the gems and pearls are Prima.

And up close to show you all the sparkles on her wings.
I've been doing a bit of work on my Heart Journal as well. This project can be found here.
The Journal will take the year to complete with prompts each month I believe.
I've gone ahead and done some work on mine--not sure if I'm going to continue with the year-long project. So I've cut out all my hearts, amongst which are, 3 water colour paper hearts, 3 canvas paper hearts and 3 poster board weight and one corrugated heart which is now glued to one of the poster paper hearts. As you can see, poster board ones are curled a bit from coating with Gesso, they'll straighten out when done :)

Below, you can see I've added gold acylic to the corrugated heart, but before I did that, I ripped the paper a bit and put some music paper down first. You can see the music paper just a bit. The heart at the top of the picture has paper that I ripped and glued down with modge podge. I've punched holes in some~~I think I want to bind it with rings :)
So that's what I was up to this weekend~~other than shovelling a lot of snow :)

A Few More Cards
Here are a few cards I made the past couple of days. Not sure what happened to making Christmas cards!
This first Halloween card is for the Sketch Challenge over at Graphicat. Be sure to hop over and check out Cheri's blog, she has digi images, her very own stamps, plus other goodies and fun challenges!
Now, it looks like my card front is on the base crooked, but irl, it isn't. I used a fiskars border punch, printed paper from my stash--including the pumpkin faces--I put them under clear bits from SU, the crackled image and sentiment is cut from Crafty Secrets paper, ribbon-not sure, embroidery floss for the Spirella corner. The border punched cardstock has been sprayed with Glimmer Mists. Talk about layers--starting with the black card base, then green SU cs, sprayed cs, black cs, orange print is only a frame, black cs, orange cs, black cs, and image on white! So, if you count the card base, that's.......9 in case you're wondering, lol, and that's not including the 3 under the sentiment! Surprisingly, the 6 x 6 card isn't that heavy :)

Side view of the layers popped up.
A card for the kids, I had sparkles, glue, paint and gosh knows what, stuck to my fingers making this card! I was all thumbs....it almost went into the garbage a few times :) but then, I just knew the kids would like it no matter what!
This little easel card just kind of happened, it barely stands because I made the bottom a bit big.
An envelope style card, thanks to some friends for showing me this style quite some time ago. I love making these, but they don't stand on their own.
Thanks for stopping by, please come again :)
