March Tag for 2014

Are you following along with Tim Holtz's tags this year?  Here's mine for this month.  I never have all the identical materials, but it doesn't matter at all---it's the technique and procedure that he teaches that I really enjoy. 

  I used some of Tim's tissue wrap, metal tag, honeycomb stencil and staples, distress inks, some SU twine, and SU markers in the spritzer. Some Paper Pizazz fibre and a couple of feathers from my stash. 

 

 

I put this down on top of my small journal and it looked like it belonged there!  So there's an idea for your tag :)

February Tag 2014

Here is my take on Tim's tag for this month. I don't have all the supplies :) but you gotta use what you have, right?

I used an embossing folder with hearts, rubbed the distress pad over it, then added embossing powder. I don't have chalk but took the sanding block over the white, embossed sentiment--got a little carried away sanding :)  bit of a messy chalkboard look.

I put some gesso around the black cardstock and inked around it.

The heart is on grunge board. I stuck the arrow onto it while wet and put a heart gem in the center. The sticker things on top and bottom are from my stash, they are a black glitter on acetate.
