Timepiece Mini Album from Bo Bunny

Well, I do believe this album is done  :)   But, you never know, when you have something 'done', sometimes you go back and tweak it a bit--so we'll see.

I didn't go heavy on pockets and tags or embellishments on the inside, but I LOVE the front, I think I got the feminine look I was going for  :)

Everything is edged with Distress ink, vintage photo.  The flowers are from I Am Roses and I sprayed them with Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels.  The one white flower with the pearl is one that I made and put on a gloober.  The pearl necklace on the front used to belong to Ina, one of our stamping pals who passed away a short time ago, I thought it suited the vintage look of this album.

I love making my own albums where I'm the one picking the paper, but having this one from Bo Bunny sure made it easy--paper is on the chipboard so all you do is ink the edges and decorate!

I used a few of the chipboard pieces and stickers. Love the big scrolls.

The two pages below have a pocket and the one has a pull-out tag.

Thanks for coming to look, please check out my Facebook and Pinterest page for more of my paper crafting--you'll find the links over to the left, on the sidebar :)

Have a great day!

Graphic 45 Bird Song Mini Album

Here is my mini album using Graphic 45 Bird Song paper.   I loved making this album, the paper is so gorgeous!

The front tag holds the book closed, but I added a magnet just so when the book gets full, it has extra holding support.

The inside has pockets and places to add photos and journaling.

There's lots of room in this little 4 1/2" x 6" album.

Thanks for coming to have a look.  I followed a you tube video by Dawns Inspirations on a layered book binding method--works wonderful. Plus, she has a video to show the added hinged piece shown in the above photo. Check out ALL her videos--they're great!

French Country Frame

Hi Everyone :)  thought I'd share the finished frame I was working on. Done in French Country paper by Graphic 45.  Love, love, love this paper and really pleased with how it turned out.

All my edges are done with Pumice Stone Distress ink.  Lots of fussy cutting, I really wanted to put the big rooster on the bottom right, but then it didn't quite look right. If a person wanted to, they could add their own photos to the inside of the frame, I chose to use the paper from the paper pad.

I was going to put hangers on the back, but sometimes in the hanging of frames, you don't get it all even--or maybe it's just me :)  Anyway, I opted with ribbon wrapped (and well taped) around the frame and a bow tied at the top as you can see---and it's a tight double knot so as not to come undone!

Thanks for coming to look  :)  Hope you're all having a wonderful day.

Wallet Style Mini Album

Thanks to Janet for sharing :)

I made mine with Stampin Up cardstock (the sturdiest of all I believe) and Graphic 45 Secret Garden paper.

You do your basic pattern and really, you can make it any size you want--closed, mine is 7" x 4".  I used sookwang tape and crystal effects for adhesives. I was going to add some sparkly gems but they could damage photos when closed--however, I may put some on the front--a little sparkle is good.

You can decorate how you like but remember, you want to be able to close it :)  Mine is held closed with a magnet hidden under the printed paper.

There are actually 3 hidden places where you could slide a note into  :)  you can't see them and I'm not telling!

I had fun making this, thanks again Janet  :)

New Projects

Well, I got this new paper, French Country by Graphic 45--one of my favourite companies--last November and made some cards for my Christmas sales, but there's still got a bunch left  ;)
I thought I'd better pull it out again--cause I've got plans for it!

The frame is from Close to My Heart and it's about an inch deep. I cut a piece of white cardboard for the backing and glued that pretty piece of paper on, then adhered it to the back of the frame. In hindsight, I should have decided whether I was painting or papering the front. I'll have to work that out :) I do know that there is going to be some fussy cutting!

Also, do you see other things cut out? Some tags for a tag book, some cut-outs---remnants from the cards, this should keep me busy for a bit.

Here's the back of the frame and for extra measure, after gluing the backing on, I added some tissue tape. I may add some paper to cover the white, not sure yet.

I also got the Bird Song paper pack and am waiting for 3 other ones  coming! So I should be busy all Spring.

Ordering on line has turned me into a monster  :)  Have you seen all the new stuff coming out of CHA!!  How are we to resist all of it!

My afghan is coming along, 31 rows done, about 1/4 of the way!

Hope you're all having a good weekend, it's snowing here.....again :)

Using It Up!

My yarn that is :) I have had this yarn for at least 5 years.  Started an afghan, didn't like it, so tucked it away.

Well this week it's out of the closet and turning into a different afghan--I kind of like this simple pattern.  I can sit and watch TV and get something done!!

I think sometimes if I never bought any craft stuff for a year, I could keep busy with what I have :)
What are you hiding in your closet that could come out and be made use of?

Have a great day and start, finish or dream of what you could make out of what you have on hand  :)
