I made a fairly simple card because I wanted to showcase the lovely Faux Patina background--you can find the tutorial for this on Splitcoast Stampers--as well as my handmade dryer sheet flower. You just cut a used dryer sheet into whatever shape and add some stickles and a center, pretty easy peasy. I used all SU! cardstock, Cuttlebug folder, SU! ink and Distress Ink, ribbon and gems from my stash and my new die from Memory box.
And here are some more flowers I've recently made. I surf a lot, so I have found these on various sites.
These plastic flowers are made from the plastic containers that hold dies etc. I just cut them with a flower and leaf die or you can punch the thinner plastics. Use ventilation when you use your heat gun to melt these a little and you can carefully shape the leaves and petals while still quite warm. I used alcohol inks to colour. This flower is 2 1/2" across, it would be great on a canvas!
These ribbon flowers are made by folding a length of ribbon in half, stitch up to close, then snip the folded edge every quarter inch and then just pull your thread to gather and tie knot--wish I could remember who's blog this was on, hers looked really nice and I will add it here if I can find it again!
