A Little Girls Album

I believe my 'Dress'  album is finished.   This is a shaped book from Bo Bunny, 10" long,  called Sweet Tooth and comes with the pages already covered.  I inked all the edges, and added chipboard stickers that went with the set.  I added ribbons, buttons, lace, sparkles, pearls and hardware.

Lace and Doilies and Tea on Tuesday

I've been away on a holiday to Vancouver and Nanaimo :)  Wonderful holiday with family.  I LOVE it down there and the weather cooperated for the most part!  Things are so green and every thing is blossoming!

Today, I'm enjoying a lovely cup of Double Cream Earl Grey tea by Teaja.  It is a delicious mellow tea that has a yummy flavor!  AND, I finally found a Buddha cup/bowl ($17)!!   So today, it's holding my tea  :)  There's not a lot of colour to my tea because I don't like it strong.

I looked in 2nd hand places for old lace and doilies too, but only found a couple and they wanted an arm and a leg.  But when I went to the Lions garage sale here at home this Saturday, I bought a grocery bag, stuffed, for $11. Just what I was looking for :)

And this is the beginning of what I'm doing with this one.

These circles are about 2.5 inches across and there 15 of them per doily.  The edges will be great for cards, lace books or my pincushions, etc.  There are two beige and one white of this style.

I was also looking for bits of jewelry on the trip and did manage to find this gorgeous bracelet for $3 at a second hand boutique---the large stone had come loose and they glued it back on, but it was a bit foggy--great for what I wanted it for.  I did try wearing it and found it a bit 'scratchy' on my arm, so it didn't bother me to take it apart.

A couple of snips of the wire and I now have some gorgeous pieces to use on a book or whatever :)
I absolutely LOVE the colour of this bracelet!

Thanks so much for coming to visit  :)  Have a great week!

Tea Tuesday with Christmas Tea

Yes, I'm drinking a Christmas tea called Santa's Secret :)  from David's teas.  See the little candy canes!  This is a really nice mellow, but light tea--very nice any time of year, in a Christmas cup.
The last couple of years, when my kids ask what I'd like for Christmas, I've said 'tea is good' and they listened---I now have a ton of tea :)

My preferred drink?  I do love my tea but can't go without my coffee either---coffee is my go to in the morning :)

My new project that I dug out of the cupboard!  This is another board book by Bo Bunny.  I put some lace on this morning but still have a lot to do on it--those things on the front aren't glued down yet :)

Thanks for coming to visit, check out what the other tea gals have been up to--check Elizabeth's for the list    http://alteredbooklover.blogspot.ca/2014/04/t-stands-for-six-days-till-tuesday.html

Have a great Day :)

Bo Bunny Puzzle Book

Hi Everyone :)  I pulled another project from the cupboard!

This lovely puzzle book comes with the pieces covered.  I inked all the edges with SU ink and added other goodies plus a large ring with lace and fibre.  Although I made this into a book, you can also fit the pieces together. Each piece is about 4.5 " by 5".

I added a lot of photos to show all the puzzle pages, so I won't take up your time with a lot of talk :)

Thanks for coming to look, have a great week :)

A Little Bit Vintage

A G45 vintage birthday card. That's what came of the mess of stuff on my counter :)

I used SU cardstock and Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe paper, Prima flower stem, some crocheted lace, and an old button.  Instead of folding it, I used two rings with some charms and crinkle ribbon. All edges have a bit of Black Soot Distress ink.

The narrow front piece opens with the little boot lace-ups for a hinge. The waxy flax 'lace-up' is from CTMH and the little metal corners were in my stash.

On the bottom corner is a little arrow to hold the piece closed.

Inside I added some lovely black lace from The Jule Box, gems from my stash, and on the left some G 45 printed paper.  The key and three of the butterflies are coated with crackle accents.

On the back, I added a sticker from Bo Bunny Timepiece collection.  The card is approximately 5x 7.

Thanks for coming by today :)

Tea Tuesday

I can't believe how quickly these Tuesdays roll around  :)

I'm working on a card :)  I even got up in the middle of the night because I HAD to write down an idea.

Not sure how I think with the clutter but I think it helps with ideas...

My tea is David's, 'Oh Canada'.

It's a rooibos tea, with maple syrup and sprinkled with delicious maple leaf candies.

I had to have a bite---a little hot cross bun with my butter, lol.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you're all having/had a great Tuesday/
