Umbrella Man

I bought the package of three embossing folders--Gears, Old Jalopy and the Umbrella Man :) I love this guy, it could be raining, but he looks ok with whatever the weather. Could be Charlie Chaplin or Fred Astaire :)

I used the Tim Holtz/Ranger--core'dinations cardstock and sanded the images after running them through my Cuttlebug. Then inked it up a bit with Distress inks, Black Soot and Walnut Stain, I believe. The cardstock mat, printed paper, card base and hinge are SU! The chain and little key are from my stash, the metal sentiment is Tim Holtz.

This first photo is how I made the card.

Then, I decided there should be rain, so I sanded a little more....Well, I liked the idea of rain until I did it! Now I'm not so sure.

Thanks for coming to have a look, please leave a comment, I'd love to know which is your favourite :)

  1. I have not invested in a dye cutting machine...but when I see great outcomes like you got it is very tempting

it would be hard to pick one fav...both cards are super!
