Explosion Box or...Scrapbook in a Box or...Photo Box

This little box comes with different names :)  all the same, it can be made for many uses and can be as elaborate as you want. I like the pattern for this one because of the heart shaped, fold-in, part. Got that from Dawns Inspiration blog--I added her to my blog list on the side bar, just type explosion box in her search bar when you get to her blog, it's about 5 pages in otherwise  :)  She does a you-tube video too, so you can follow right along with her, if you want.

I used StampinUp cardstock and printed paper--although there may be a piece of Creative Memories paper in there.  The rest of the goodies are just from my stash--I get stuff wherever I can  :)  I was going for Elegant Wedding.

The sides all have bead flourishes. I LOVE black and white.  And, if someone wanted to add the colour of their wedding, it would be so easy to add a splash!

The inside, I put pearls all around each section, you can see it around the wee box in the center and just barely see it on the other levels.  All the little pockets have decorated tags--8, so lots of room for photos and journaling.

The little box in the center is just for putting a few precious mementos.

The two hearts on the top are glued down, but I also knotted a tiny ribbon around the two--you know,
they tied the knot ;)

Lots of layering, inking, a ton of sookwang tape, a bucket of pearls, a labour of love!
I'm really pleased with how it turned out :)

Here's another one that is in the shop.  My crocheted flowers colours are a bit 'off', they are actually more peachy like the paper. As you can see, there is a frame to add a photo on the top.  I planned this as a baby photo box but it could be any theme.

I used Stampin Up cardstock and Basic Grey printed paper--Two Scoops--and stick-ons, bits and pieces of ribbon and lace and a few metal embellishments.  There are 8 pockets and tags--again, lots of room for photos and writing.

I'd love to see your scrapbook in a box if you've made one :)
I made about 30 of these a couple of years ago, they were really popular!

Hope you enjoyed your visit, please leave a comment so I can be sure to visit your blog :)
